Bharani,
Can u be specific about your view on the definition of a ‘Common Man’ ?

In My view, it’s the basic English understanding of words ‘Common’ and ‘Man’. A person who generally acts as a silent witness to all the things happening around him but has no control on them. He does not have Money power, Political power, he’s not a VIP, No external support in short he is a “Common Man”
It can me ‘Me’, ‘You’ in the matter of fact anyone depending on the circumstances. I know many of us are self motivated and persons with positive outlook but in some situations we are just helpless.

There is a huge variation among those who are not VIP, with no external support , no money power, no political power. I don’t think one statement will fit them all. It all depends on how you see. In spite of nothing i have see people in slum smiling much beautifully then the one who are educated and living in decent flats. Enjoying movements of life as they don’t have huge aspirations to crave for. Enjoying each bit of the food they afford compare to the people who is sitting in front of TV and eating better food mechanically.

I’ll absolutely agree with Sajjad.
I always believe that the world is a great mirror. It reflects back to you what you are. If you are loving, if you are friendly, if you are helpful, the world will prove loving and friendly and helpful to you. The world is what you are.
I don’t think happiness is something which sticks up externally, for which you need money or VIP status to achieve it. Happiness lies in yourSELF, in your HEART.
just check out my views on Happiness at http://bpreddy4u.blogspot.com/2009/11/happened-to-watch-movie-pursuit-of.html

Thanks to Bhanu for reminding me to reply to Sajjad. Yes, you both guys are correct it’s up to self / world’s a mirror and all that is good in words for you and me. My question to you both is how many of us are like that? I agree that people is most worse situations(as per us) can be happy and I have witnessed such people as well, but how many of them are are like that, whats the feeling of major chunk?
Sajjad,
When I talked about VIP, Money, Power, I just answered Bhanu’s question, who I feel a common man is but I did not say that who have all the will be happy.
Bhanu,
As per you “If you are loving, if you are friendly, if you are helpful, the world will prove loving and friendly and helpful to you. The world is what you are.” – my question I am not talking about individual self, I am talking about the majority, The Common Man.
You might say each individual self only will form a community, my question is how many are like that. It’s not enough if just you, Sajjad and me think that I am happy, let me “feel” that world around me is happy and everything is happy ! that’s why the title Common Man(most of the people / majority).
If you are happy at heart and you really want to make this world a better place what I think (Contrary to you) is “We should radiate what we are to the world like the ‘Sun’ and enlighten and improve the people in the dark to radiate this happiness to more and more people.”

hey guys.. you are going too deeper in to the matter..
The question is simple?
What do you see in the eyes of common man?
the common man is the one who do you FEEL a common man to YOU?..
Answer is simple.. desire for happiness..

Bharani,
Nice Portait. Good decision to convert to B/W. Like the sharpness here. But I think contrast is little overdone. Its a personal choice. So just my opinion here.
I cannot help but comment on the comment thread.
Bhanu,
I always believe that the world is a great mirror. It reflects back to you what you are. Exactly!! You give Bhashan and you get Bhashan in return. lol.
